Real Heroes and Real Jews

     At a recent House Subcommittee on Crime ,Rep. Charles Schumer, 
criticized one witness, a disabled former Marine who was awarded 
nine decorations for his service in Vietnam, for displaying his medals.  
After the witness left the room, the congressman tried to discredit the 
officer by claiming that a "real hero" would not need such a display to 
prove his heroism.
    "Real Heroes" are not made by medals, but "Real Medals are conferred 
    upon "Real Heroes", in recognition of and to honor them for their 
    service and actions. "Real Heroes" are entitled to wear them and 
    "Real Patriotic Americans" not only respect their right to do so, 
    but thank them for the service that helps make them free. The mark 
    of a "Real Coward" is to denigrate those that answered and served 
    their country.  
    Rep Schumer does not hesitate, to use any tactics, to discredit those 
    that oppose his views, including his being Jewish, to label them as 
    anti-Semitic. Rep Schumer does not hesitate to present the appearance 
    that he not only represents but speaks for the Jewish Community. Rep 
    Schumer's words are a desecration of the memory and honor of all the 
    men and women who served, fought, or died for this nation, including 
    many "Real Jews".
    The seeds of anti-Semitism may come from the obvious sources such as 
    the K.K.K. and Aryan Nations, but their fertilizer is the words of 
    those that, under the guise of being Jewish Leaders, show such 
    disrespect. What grows from such seed and fertilizer may well be 
    determined by how "Real Jews" respond. Will they endorse or overlook 
    Rep Schumer's remarks or will they treat them to the same respect 
    that he gives to our decorated veterans?
