MIKE CALLAHAN:
.... They're willing to take this case, and they're willing to
run with it because they think we obviously have a viable case
about our First Amendment rights [to free speech] being trampled
on. But unfortunately, that costs money. And this company, as we
started off a couple of years ago, we wanted to help educate
people to do the right thing: to put a little gold and silver
in their hands, to put a little food in the pantry, and to help
folks become aware of what's happening.
And, somewhere down the road, this company changed, as our
country changed. And we went from being just financial, to
economic, to almost political -- and now, to having the focus
of the World upon us. And they want to know what we're going
to do. And I've got to tell you, folks: we have always shot
straight with you guys. We've always given it to you straight,
up front. But, I've got to tell you: I, Mike Callahan,
I, Viking International Trading, CANNOT bear this load ALONE!
I cannot cover the legal expenses that it's going to take to
ensure that our First Amendment rights are not trampled.
I can't do it!
Now, I can help. And I'll do my part, and continue to promote
this show, and I'll continue to spread the word. And if I've
got any extra jingle in my pocket, I'm going to do what it
takes.
But I've got to ask you folks a favor. And I've not been one
to ask favors of people. But I feel like I can ask you
because you're family -- because you and I think alike.
Folks, we have had to set up a defense fund. And it is called
the "Freedom Defense Fund". And we're not asking everybody
to run out, sell the house, sell the car, take your food off
your table, and send us all your money. I don't want that.
I've never wanted that. Because it's not about the money.
But what I'm asking you to do is, please, if you've got a
couple extra bucks .... whatever you feel is appropriate.
Whatever you feel in your heart is the right thing.
If it's fifty cents, God bless you. If it's five hundred
million dollars, God bless you. Or anything in between,
we would be most appreciative. All you need to do is to
make it out to the Freedom Defense Fund or FDF.
This defense fund is set up exclusively for the defense of
our [everybody's] First Amendment right [to free speech].
And, as we continue to see [federal] abuses [suppression],
to continue to use this fund to fight for what is ours,
because, friends, freedom is not free!
A long time ago, it cost a lot of great men and women
their lives -- their blood, their sweat, their personal
property, their livlihoods, their children, their wives,
their husbands. And we should hope that that type of
sacrifice will NEVER have to be made again in this
country. Our men and women in uniform have shed blood
all around this World to allegedly protect freedom.
But, folks, I hope it never comes to that again.
But right now, this is the front line. And you're
talking to it. And the new guard is here. And we will
fight this fight all the way to the end. But we cannot
do it without you. I would love to be able to fight this
fight for you, and give you guys weekly updates on how
things are going. But I can't! I can't afford it!
Nobody is getting rich here at Viking. I'm still not
in an Armanti? suit. Still don't have a BMW. Still don't
have a big house up on the mountain -- and never plan to.
The prices have always remained the same. Good product,
good price, low overhead, so that we can support the
folks who make this country strong and keep us moving.
But I need your help! And I need it now like I've never
asked for it before -- because I haven't.
Folks, we've got to fight this battle, because if we
don't stop them here, their lines will continue to
intrude upon us. And the next thing you know we're not
going to have anything left. We WILL be living in the
United States of South Africa [a police state].
And Robbie, you know what that's like.
ROBBIE NOEL [former South Afrikaner]:
O-o-h yeah!
MIKE CALLAHAN:
And let me tell you, folks, if you think I'm lying,
and if you think I'm pulling your leg, just turn on
the TV. Go turn on Posner/Donahue right now. And you
know what the Russians .... excuse me -- Mr. Posner
is talking about right now? Giving up your liberties
for additional security. And my answer to him was:
"How about if I DON'T give up any liberties, and I
buy a bigger gun. And I'll take care of my own security,
be it lethal or non-lethal. I'll take care of myself,
thank you very much."
ROBBIE NOEL:
Let me tell you what happens when they introduce a
terrorism hit bill, as they did in South Africa, many,
many years ago.
You will stop discussing politics and religion in
open spaces, just because of fear of WHO may be
listening, because YOU could be targeted as a
"terrorist."
This is such a broad brush that they are trying to paint
this new legislation with. And the scary thing is that
Democrats and Republicans seem to be on some sort of
"fast track" to get this thing passed.
And the scary thing, folks, is that I have lived in
countries where you do NOT talk about RELIGION or
POLITICS IN PUBLIC PLACES! If you do, you usually find
yourself in a dark alley with either a large spear in
your back -- or, as in the case of when you're in Europe,
in Ireland, you'll end up in a dark alley with a hole
in your head.
This is what "terrorism acts" impose on the people.
